Trezor.io/Start | Secure Device Initialization

Your first steps toward complete digital asset sovereignty. Follow the official process carefully.

01

Connect and Verify

Plug your new device into your computer. Ensure you are on the **official website** to download the correct Trezor Suite application. This is a critical security measure.

Verify URL
02

Install Firmware

The Suite will guide you to install the latest **official firmware**. Do not proceed if the software warns about unofficial firmware. This process is essential for security.

Note: This wipes the device and prepares it for setup.

03

Create New Wallet

Choose the option to **'Create New Wallet'**. Never use a pre-configured wallet. The device will generate a unique, random seed that only you will control.

Warning: Do not take pictures of your Recovery Seed!

04

Backup Your Seed

Write down the **24-word Recovery Seed** displayed on your Trezor's screen *only*. Double-check the order and spelling. Store this list in a safe, physical location.

05

Set a Device PIN

Use the number grid displayed on your computer screen to input a **unique PIN** based on the prompt on your device. Choose a complex PIN (8-9 digits recommended).

Security Tip: The on-screen grid changes position for every session.

06

Finalize & Use

Your device is now initialized, secured, and ready to use. You can now send or receive cryptocurrencies. Always confirm transactions on the device itself.

Congratulations! Your digital assets are now secured.
